Now, it’s time for our city to catch up the upgrades and it’s also a good time for governments to embrace the newest technology for better services to people. The smart pole and surveillance solutions by Chunghwa Telecom, uses the most leading technologies combining with central platform software and the physical hardware that you can count on. For example, from roadside LED lightings, video surveillance with smart recognitions in human & vehicles, digital displays for information posting, wi-fi hotspot for free internet access, and much more. Chunghwa Telecom now provides a total solution for better city living and better tool for the government use. We believe, the smart pole and surveillance is the first step to smart cities prior other technologies to be advanced, and our system can certainly improve on city governance efficiency.

Speaker bio

Jeff Mo received his bachelor’s degree in B.S. Computer Science Engineering from the Ohio State University and graduate degree in M.S. EE-Computer System Engineering from University of Houston. He worked as an on-site software consultant in Perficient after graduation and had experiences in enterprise system integrations in Finance, Medical, and Insurance sectors. Jeff moved back to Taiwan in 2008 and joined Chunghwa Telecom. Since then, he has been involving in the smart city projects for more than 10 years. He had experiences in both web development and system integrations. From his perspective, smart city is not only a dream but soon will be realized into our daily life. Currently, he serves as one of the technical project managers in Chunghwa Telecom - International Group and responsible for foreign smart solution projects.
