Trisakti University

The development of Universitas Trisakti began with its establishment by the Government on November 29, 1965, based on the Decree of Minister of Higher Education and Science No. 013/dar/1965 signed by Dr. Sjarief Thajeb. At its further development with the purpose to fulfill the needs of stakeholders, the Faculty of Engineering was expanded into four faculties; Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning, Faculty of Industrial Technology, Faculty of Mineral Technology, and Faculty of Landscape Architecture and Environment Technology, followed by the establishment of Faculty of Art and Design. Keep abreast of the time, a name adjustment was made to the Faculty of Economics to become the Faculty of Economics and Business as well as the Faculty of Mineral Technology to become the Faculty of Earth Technology and Energy. Having 9 faculties, Universitas Trisakti offers 47 Study Programs consisting of 2 Doctoral Study Programs, 12 Master Study Programs, 1 Specialist Study Program, 3 Profession Education Study Programs, 23 Undergraduate Study Programs, and 6 Diploma Study Programs. In 2017, Universitas Trisakti obtained UNGGUL accreditation (A) in accordance with the Decree of National Education Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) No.4341/SK/ BAN-PT/ Accredited/PT/XI/2017 on 14 September 2017. Further, the majority of study program accreditation is A, and according to the Strategic Plan, in 2020 all study programs are targeted to reach A level. The internationalization process initiated by Universitas Trisakti through QS is 6 study programs in the AUN-QA certification preparation process, 5 study programs have received IABEE provisional accreditation while the other 5 study programs are waiting for the results. Universitas Trisakti has won international and national awards, especially awards related to student activities. The A accreditation of Universitas Trisakti Library was granted by the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia. Universitas Trisakti Library has also received the world number 3 award in terms of Emerald journal access. Universitas Trisakti collaboration networking includes 107 collaborations with foreign institutions spread across 5 continents and 343 collaborations in the fields of education, research and community service with domestic institutions in the past 3 years. As a higher education institution, Universitas Trisakti is obliged to participate in accomplishing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) stipulated by the United Nations (UN) especially those relating to Quality Education – education that ensures all students obtain the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable development or lifelong learning, so the University stipulates that Universitas Trisakti is a one-stop learning for sustainable development.
